Daniel Suarez: Daemon

FBI: "Just shut down the Internet."
The others gave him a patronizing look.
FBI: "You guys built the damned thing. Why can't you turn it off?"
NSA: "Let's stick to reasonable suggestions, shall we?"
FBI: "I don't mean for a long time—just for a second."
from: Daniel Suarez: Daemon

"Daemon" is a very exciting and unputdownable book. Other thrillers like this tend to give the reader a wrong idea of what may be possible with modern techniques. But "Daemon" was written by a software developer and everything is easily comprehensible – and already possible.

Author Suarez describes everything very exactly. Thus "Daemon" is a scrupulously precisely described book.

The book is written so exciting that you can not stop reading it. The story is very plausible, the action reasonable. "Daemon" is not a mishmash, it is a special book of special significance. The action scenes are probably one of the best I've ever read. These are frighteningly realistic.

tl;dr: Great book. Buy it. Read it. Think it over.
